Chapel Hill fingerstyle guitarist Josh Kimbrough’s indelible debut album Slither, Soar & Disappear is out today on vinyl through Worried Songs. Initially released on Tompkins Square in June of last year, Kimbrough’s first solo project is an enthralling listen, rich with embellished acoustic soundscapes that are finely attuned to the rhythms of the natural world. The 11 tracks found here are a blissful extension of the woodland oasis Kimbrough discovered on his back porch during the early days of fatherhood and as a body of work, the LP lives up to its title as a collection of delicate and compassionate folk songs that run free and filled with grace.
