Los Angeles singer-songwriter Eva B. Ross has released an entrancing new single called “Jim Beam Moonbeams.” The tune, which features production and musical contributions from Big Thief’s Buck Meek, Hether and Joe Harrison, is accompanied by some hazy eye candy: a dreamy lyric video that lends a faded atmosphere to the song’s delicate grooves. Here, Ross’ sparse, stoned-out psychedelic pop-soul basks in the dim-lit lust of a buzzed, late night romantic encounter. Centered around a bubbly bass groove and her hushed vocal, the track recalls the enveloping psych-pop of Unknown Mortal Orchestra albeit with a daringly seductive edge.
